More School for Me

The Mais Escola para Mim “More School for Me” scholarship program addresses broad gender disparities in education by giving girls with extreme financial need the chance to attend secondary school with strategic support. This program provides scholarships, social worker support, and after-school programs to girls who have completed primary school to continue on to the 8th, 9th, and 10th grades over three years. When scholarship recipients reach the 10 grade, they are qualified to teach, work in civil service, and gain further education in technical schools. More

Cantina Escolar

Cantina Escolar, or School Cantina, is a program that builds student-led extracurricular associations in secondary schools to foster leadership, teamwork, organization skills, problem-solving and intellectual curiosity among Mozambican youth. The program sponsors a sports, literature, and culture club at each school, building multi-purpose spaces, or school cantinas, to house their activities and providing the tools, materials, and training to make each association successful.
